[0:00] Hello, this is Sky. I'll be here with you until sleep. You don't need to listen closely. You can drift off whenever you like. There's nothing to get right tonight. For now, just let yourself be held by the sound of my voice. Let's begin. If this podcast has been keeping you company at night and you'd like to support me directly, membership is a beautiful way to do that. It includes ad-free listening and exclusive sleep stories, and it helps me continue sharing these calm little spaces with you. The link is in the description. Wherever you happen to be tonight, I invite you to make yourself just a little more comfortable.

[1:23] Perhaps you're already nestled beneath the blankets. Perhaps you're listening with your eyes already growing heavy. Or perhaps the day is only just beginning to loosen its grip, and you're allowing yourself this little pocket of quiet before sleep finds you. However you've arrived, you're very welcome here.

[1:56] You don't need to listen closely. You don't need to follow every word. You don't need to imagine everything exactly as I describe it. If your own pictures begin to appear, they're welcome too. And if no pictures come at all, that's perfectly alright. You might simply let the sound of my voice become another gentle part of the evening, like the distant wind, or soft rain, or leaves moving quietly in the trees.

[2:44] Tonight, we find ourselves once again standing before the old manor house. It seems even more peaceful than before. The evening sky has settled into deep shades of blue, and the first stars are beginning to appear overhead. The old stone walls hold the warmth of the day, releasing it slowly into the cooling air. Perhaps you notice ivy climbing around the windows. Its leaves hardly move. Maybe somewhere nearby, a blackbird sings one final song before settling. for the night.

[3:40] Nothing seems hurried. Everything appears to know exactly where it belongs. As we make our way toward the great oak door, it opens almost before we reach it, not with any fanfare, just quietly, as though the house has recognized an old friend returning. We step inside.

[4:16] The entrance hall greets us with its familiar stillness. The polished wooden floor catches the glow of candlelight. The air carries that comforting fragrance we've come to know. Old timber, beeswax polish, a hint of lavender, perhaps the faintest trace of smoke from fires that have warmed these rooms, through countless winters. We pause here for just a moment, not because we need to, simply because arrivals are gentler when we don't rush them. Maybe you become aware of your breathing, not changing it, simply noticing that it has been accompanying you all along, steady, faithful, quietly taking care of you. Perhaps your shoulders soften a little or maybe your hands become just a touch heavier.

[5:43] Whatever your experience is tonight, it doesn't need to be different.

[5:52] The house welcomes every version of you. We begin walking along the familiar corridor. Our footsteps are slow, easy. The thick runner beneath our feet softens every sound. The rooms we visited before rest peacefully behind their doors. The library, the music room, the map room. Each one quietly holding its own atmosphere. Tonight, however, something different begins to reach us. At first, it's almost impossible to place a warmth in the air, then a fragrance. Fresh bread, rosemary, perhaps thyme. The rich earthy scent of vegetables slowly roasting.

[7:10] A little sweetness, too. Maybe apples gently baking somewhere. Or cinnamon lingering in the warm air. Without needing to say anything, we both seem to know where we're going. The kitchen.

[7:35] As we continue along the corridor, the warmth becomes more noticeable, not hot, just wonderfully comforting, like stepping into a favorite jumper on a cool evening. The hallway widens, and ahead, we see another old wooden door. This one is slightly different from the others. Its surface bears the marks of many years. Tiny scratches, soft dents. The gentle polish that comes from countless hands opening and closing it with care a simple iron handle rests, beneath your fingers cool to the touch, we open the door slowly immediately the warmth welcomes us the kitchen is large, much larger than perhaps you expected.

[8:52] High ceilings crossed by thick oak beams, darkened with age. Stone walls glowing softly in the light from hanging lanterns. A wide flagstone floor, smooth beneath countless footsteps over generations. Everything feels lived in, not perfect. Not arranged for visitors, simply loved. The first thing you notice may be the great farmhouse table standing proudly, in the center of the room. Its surface is made from enormous oak planks, worn silky smooth by years of use. Perhaps thousands of meals have been shared here Bread kneaded Vegetables chopped Letters written, Children laughing.

With You Until Sleep
A gentle sleep companion. Rambling stories, quiet presence.
If your mind comes alive at night…
If your body feels tired but wired…
If you long for quiet, steady company as you fall asleep…
You’re in the right place.

This is a slow, steady sleep podcast designed to support your nervous system in softening at the end of the day.

Each episode blends:
• Gentle guided body relaxation
• Companioning for racing thoughts
• Slow storytelling rooted in nature
• Calm, ASMR-style voice pacing
• Spacious pauses that allow you to drift

There is no pressure to fall asleep.
No breath control to follow.
No affirmations to repeat.
Just grounded presence.
Just steady companionship.
Just permission to rest.

All episodes are written and read by me, Sky — a real human, a Focusing practitioner and somatic guide. For many years I’ve worked with people who feel deeply, who carry a lot, and who often find the night the hardest time of all.

These recordings are shaped by that work — and by a simple understanding: sometimes what helps most is knowing someone is there.

You can drift at any point.

Nothing needs resolving tonight.

Sky is a Focusing practitioner and somatic guide with years of experience supporting people who feel deeply and carry a great deal internally.
Much of her work centres around emotional safety and nervous system awareness — especially for those who appear capable and strong on the outside but feel overwhelmed beneath the surface.
With You Until Sleep grew from that work.
Again and again, Sky noticed that what helped most was not fixing, analysing or pushing for change — but steady presence. A regulated voice. A sense that someone was there.
Each episode is written and read by Sky, shaped by her understanding of how the nervous system unwinds when it feels safe, unhurried and unpressured.
Her style is slow, contained and grounded in nature — offering rest without demand.
She believes rest is not something to achieve, but something we soften into.
