[0:00] Hello, this is Sky. You're hearing my own voice. I'll be here with you until sleep. You don't need to listen closely. You can drift off whenever you like. There's nothing to get right tonight. For now, just let yourself be held by the sound of my voice. Let's begin.

[0:43] If this podcast has been keeping you company at night, and you'd like to support me directly, membership is a beautiful way to do that. It includes ad-free listening and exclusive sleep stories, and it helps me continue, sharing these calm little spaces with you. A link is in the description. Perhaps today has asked many things of you. Perhaps your mind has been moving quickly Or perhaps everything has felt strangely slow.

[1:39] However you arrive tonight is completely welcome There's no need to become calmer before we begin, no need to breathe differently, no need to relax.

[2:02] Sometimes, simply having somewhere gentle to rest our attention is enough. So for these next little while, perhaps the story can do some of the holding. You don't have to hold it all yourself. Tonight, we find ourselves returning once more to the old manor. The evening is already settling, not quite dark, not quite daylight. One of those soft, in-between hours when outlines lose their sharpness and everything seems willing to become quieter.

[3:01] The familiar gravel path is waiting beneath our feet. We know this place now. Not every corner. Not every room. But enough that it no longer feels unfamiliar. The house has begun to greet us in its own quiet way. As though each visit remembers the last. There's comfort in returning somewhere that asks nothing of us. No expectations, no performances, no need to understand everything we find. Only curiosity.

[4:04] Gentle curiosity the front door opens with the same familiar ease inside the air is cooler, it carries that faint scent of polished wood old books beeswax linen and something difficult to name, perhaps simply time, the house has gathered many years around itself not heavily, not sadly simply the way an old tree gathers rings nothing hurried everything layered.

[5:06] The entrance hall is quiet tonight. The grandfather clock continues its patient work. Somewhere distant within the house, there's the smallest creek. Perhaps old timber adjusting as the evening cools. Perhaps nothing at all.

[5:40] We don't need to decide, not everything else to be explained, as we begin walking our footsteps soften against the runner that stretches along the corridor, the lamps have already been lit not brightly, just enough to offer pools of warm amber light, between each lamp there are little stretches of shadow, not dark only restful like pauses between sentences. We pass the library. Its door stands slightly open. The shelves inside disappear into quiet rows. The greenhouse lies somewhere beyond another wing of the house.

[7:01] Perhaps the evening flowers are already folding themselves closed. The drawing room remains still. A fire has settled into glowing embers. Nothing asks us to stop tonight. The house seems gently to guide us onward, almost as though another room has been waiting.

[7:46] There's something curious about old houses. Some rooms seem to hold conversations. Others seem to hold silence. Some gather sunlight. Others gather dreams. Tonight, we are looking for music, not a performance, not applause, not perfection. Simply a room where sound has been allowed to become part of the walls themselves. The corridor narrows slightly before opening again. At its end is a tall oak door.

[8:56] Unlike many others in the house, this one has no sign, no label, perhaps you know that feeling, standing outside somewhere, allowing yourself to arrive before stepping in, sometimes the pause is part of the journey.

[9:30] The handle feels cool. The hinges make almost no sound. The door opens slowly. The room beyond is larger than expected. High ceilings rise above us. Tall windows reach almost from floor to ceiling, Though heavy curtains have been drawn halfway across them, The remaining evening light filters through the fabric in long silver bands, dust drifts gently through those beams, not busy not countless, just enough to notice, each tiny particle floating without urgency See.

About the Podcast

With You Until Sleep
A gentle sleep companion. Rambling stories, quiet presence.
If your mind comes alive at night…
If your body feels tired but wired…
If you long for quiet, steady company as you fall asleep…
You’re in the right place.

This is a slow, steady sleep podcast designed to support your nervous system in softening at the end of the day.

Each episode blends:
• Gentle guided body relaxation
• Companioning for racing thoughts
• Slow storytelling rooted in nature
• Calm, ASMR-style voice pacing
• Spacious pauses that allow you to drift

There is no pressure to fall asleep.
No breath control to follow.
No affirmations to repeat.
Just grounded presence.
Just steady companionship.
Just permission to rest.

All episodes are written and read by me, Sky — a real human, a Focusing practitioner and somatic guide. For many years I’ve worked with people who feel deeply, who carry a lot, and who often find the night the hardest time of all.

These recordings are shaped by that work — and by a simple understanding: sometimes what helps most is knowing someone is there.

You can drift at any point.

Nothing needs resolving tonight.

Sky is a Focusing practitioner and somatic guide with years of experience supporting people who feel deeply and carry a great deal internally.
Much of her work centres around emotional safety and nervous system awareness — especially for those who appear capable and strong on the outside but feel overwhelmed beneath the surface.
With You Until Sleep grew from that work.
Again and again, Sky noticed that what helped most was not fixing, analysing or pushing for change — but steady presence. A regulated voice. A sense that someone was there.
Each episode is written and read by Sky, shaped by her understanding of how the nervous system unwinds when it feels safe, unhurried and unpressured.
Her style is slow, contained and grounded in nature — offering rest without demand.
She believes rest is not something to achieve, but something we soften into.
