The Library in the Manor House (Deep Sleep Story)

With You Until Sleep — 17 : The Library in the Manor House (Deep Sleep Story)

Drift into deep rest with this somatic sleep podcast designed to help settle the nervous system, quiet racing thoughts, and support natural sleep. With a calming ASMR-style female voice, this episode offers gentle bedtime storytelling and a soft, soothing presence to help you disengage from overthinking and ease into sleep.

This sleep podcast is ideal for anyone who struggles with insomnia, nighttime anxiety, restlessness, or waking up in the middle of the night. The episode creates a peaceful, pressure-free space where you can simply listen, relax, and let go. Whether you need help falling asleep fast or returning to sleep after waking, this calming sleep audio is here to support you.

This collection of episodes invites you into a quiet, historic space shaped by time, stillness, and memory. Each room within the Manor House carries its own atmosphere, gently explored through slow, somatic storytelling designed to ground and settle the body.

In this first chapter, we enter the library — a space of worn pages, softened light, and quiet presence. The pacing is deliberate, focusing on small sensory details and the gentle movement through a book, allowing the mind to drift and the body to rest.

Inspired by historic manor houses and their layered pasts, this series leans into a sense of continuity — where objects, rooms, and silence hold stories without urgency.

There’s nothing to do, nothing to fix, and nothing to get right tonight — just rest.

Perfect for:

  1. Sleep meditation
  2. ASMR for sleep
  3. Nervous system regulation
  4. Insomnia relief
  5. Anxiety at night
  6. Relaxing bedtime storytelling
  7. Falling back asleep

Let the sound of a gentle female voice guide you toward peace, ease, and deep sleep.

To get the most out of this episode:

  1. Listen somewhere you feel safe and comfortable
  2. You can use headphones or play it softly in the room
  3. Let yourself drift in and out of awareness
  4. If you fall asleep, that’s perfect
  5. If you don’t, that’s okay too

There’s no right way for this to work.

[0:00] Hello, this is Sky. You're hearing my own voice. And I'll be here with you until sleep. You don't need to listen closely. You can drift off whenever you like. There's nothing to get right tonight. For now, just let yourself be held by the sound of my voice. Let's begin.

[0:50] If this podcast has been keeping you company at night and you'd like to support me directly, membership is a beautiful way to do that. It includes ad-free listening, and exclusive sleep stories and it helps me continue sharing these calm little spaces with you. The link is in the description.

[1:34] This evening, I'd like to invite you somewhere old and quiet. Somewhere a little mysterious. In the way old places can be. Not because anything is hidden, but because so much has simply been lived. A place where life moves slowly. Where the gentle rhythm of the seasons seems to have left its trace in the walls. In the wood. In the stone itself.

[2:49] And where things are allowed to remain as they are, without needing to change quickly.

[3:06] And perhaps as we begin to imagine this place together, there is no need to arrive there fully.

[3:28] It might be enough just to sense the possibility of it. Like something at the edge of awareness. A manor house. Somewhere set back from the road. Held by old trees that have grown in their own time without hurry. And perhaps we're not rushing toward it. Perhaps we're just noticing the idea of walking toward it, in a way that already begins to slow something down.

[4:51] There might be a sense of ground beneath fee. Not needing to be described too clearly. Just a simple awareness of moving through space. And maybe the air here has a particular quality.

[5:31] Not different, in any dramatic way, just slightly cooler than the places we've come from. Carrying that early evening feeling. Where the day is beginning. to loosen its grip.

[6:08] You might notice that without trying to notice it. Just a soft impression.

[6:25] And as we come closer, the manner begins to appear in its own time. Not suddenly. More like it is allowing itself to be seen. Stone that has darkened gently with age and weather. are, windows that hold a kind of quiet reflection of the sky. Nothing announcing itself. Just presence. and perhaps something in the body, registers that presence before the mind does. A sense of steadiness.

[7:46] Noticing that steadiness. And we don't need to interpret it. Just noticing it is there.

[8:08] There are trees nearby, old ones, not in any hurry to grow or to prove anything now. And maybe there's a sense of how they simply stand, belonging exactly where they are, the way trees do when they've had a long time to be trees. And as we move closer still, there might be small details that gently come forward.

[9:14] The unevenness of stone underfoot. The way the air carries a faint mix of damp earth and something older, maybe wood, maybe leaves that have settled and returned to the ground over time.

[9:53] You don't have to name it clearly. Just letting it be sensed. And there is the building now, the manor, held in its own kind of quietness. Not performing anything, just existing, and perhaps we pause here for a moment before going any further, not because anything needs to be prepared.

About the Podcast

With You Until Sleep
A gentle sleep companion. Rambling stories, quiet presence.
If your mind comes alive at night…
If your body feels tired but wired…
If you long for quiet, steady company as you fall asleep…
You’re in the right place.

This is a slow, steady sleep podcast designed to support your nervous system in softening at the end of the day.

Each episode blends:
• Gentle guided body relaxation
• Companioning for racing thoughts
• Slow storytelling rooted in nature
• Calm, ASMR-style voice pacing
• Spacious pauses that allow you to drift

There is no pressure to fall asleep.
No breath control to follow.
No affirmations to repeat.
Just grounded presence.
Just steady companionship.
Just permission to rest.

All episodes are written and read by me, Sky — a real human, a Focusing practitioner and somatic guide. For many years I’ve worked with people who feel deeply, who carry a lot, and who often find the night the hardest time of all.

These recordings are shaped by that work — and by a simple understanding: sometimes what helps most is knowing someone is there.

You can drift at any point.

Nothing needs resolving tonight.

Sky is a Focusing practitioner and somatic guide with years of experience supporting people who feel deeply and carry a great deal internally.
Much of her work centres around emotional safety and nervous system awareness — especially for those who appear capable and strong on the outside but feel overwhelmed beneath the surface.
With You Until Sleep grew from that work.
Again and again, Sky noticed that what helped most was not fixing, analysing or pushing for change — but steady presence. A regulated voice. A sense that someone was there.
Each episode is written and read by Sky, shaped by her understanding of how the nervous system unwinds when it feels safe, unhurried and unpressured.
Her style is slow, contained and grounded in nature — offering rest without demand.
She believes rest is not something to achieve, but something we soften into.
